About the Event

About the Session

In a fluctuating, dynamic marketplace crowded with a younger, open-minded workforce, how must we adapt our business practices to stay relevant? Jashan Pravesh Sippy shares his journey and what he’s learnt along the way to provide insights on cross-disciplinary practices, the challenges of working with a multidisciplinary team and the scope of being adaptable.

About the Speaker

Jashan Pravesh Sippy is an Indian Green Building Council Accredited Professional (IGBC AP). With a background as an architect, he set up Sugar & SPACE as a way to combine design, his profession with food, his passion.

Jashan created his first edible walkthrough in Mumbai in April 2017 as a ground-breaking way to present an architectural project – instead of a typical 3-D digital walkthrough of the spaces, the consumers were made to taste each space which had been assigned unique flavors, textures, and mouthfeel as deemed appropriate to explain the quality of architectural spaces. Jashan is certified by the European  Bartender School (EBS) and is also the Food and Space Correspondent for the Dutch Institute of Food & Design (DIFD).

About Sugar & SPACE

Sugar & SPACE is a food-focused design and innovation agency creating meaningful connections for a sustainable food future. They work with a multidisciplinary team of chefs, architects, graphic and product designers, event planners, building contractors, artists and others and use food as a medium to deliver engaging, interactive experiences.

Sugar & SPACE believes that by considering not only food but also the space in which it is consumed we can provide unforgettable multisensory experiences for consumers. At their Mumbai Studio, we use our design expertise to 3D print food. We call these creations ‘Edible Bytes’.
