Updated: Oct 23, 2019
The festival of lights, Deepawali or the Indian Christmas; whatever you choose to call Diwali, all roads lead to great parties, lit-up houses, family gatherings and gift giving. In Hinduism, many believe that light signifies knowledge, truth and consciousness and this festival of lights is celebrated every autumn to celebrate the victory of light over darkness, or good over evil. To make your celebrations sparkle even brighter (and to help you with that last-minute Diwali shopping) here is our #MoNApproved Diwali gifting list!

If you aren’t sure about what you’d like to gift someone, or have a pet-lover in your life, we can’t think of anything better than a Diwali donation to the Animal Adoption & Care NGO run by Ministry of New member Ashraf Hussain. Even better, help get a little puppy or kitten adopted (or adopt one yourself) and save a life this Diwali. An independent committee of animal lovers, AAC aims to facilitate the adoption and care of homeless animals.
